  1. 1-18-94                 MTEZ WPCOM FAX Answer

  3.      Do  NOT  put the software in AA (autoanswer) or HOST mode.  Just  load
  4. FAXMAN.  The  FAX software tells the modem to answer when the  modem  sends
  5. RING  to  the  computer. You only have to have the  fax  module  loaded  to
  6. receive  the  fax.  You will not recv fax while you are in DATA  screen  of
  7. MTEZ.  You can check to see if you are getting the RING in  terminal  mode,
  8. but  if you are in terminal mode you can NOT rec'v a fax. Go to FAX  screen
  9. or exit MTEZ.

  11. C:\MTEZ>faxman
  12.      FAXMAN must be loaded to recv a fax.     You can manually tell  Faxman
  13. (MTEZ)  to recv a fax. <ctrl><alt>A  tells the fax to answer when you  hear
  14. the  'beeps' on the phone. (Faxman is loaded and set to 6 or more rings  in
  15. CAS SETUP).

  17.      If you load other software that uses the modem, it will interfere with
  18. FAXMAN. Use only one at one time.
  19.  
  20.      The modem will answer ANY RING when it reaches the # of RINGs you have
  21. set. It cannot tell whether it is a Voice of fax, or faxmodem calling.
